My report presents the result of 11 students from 17 to 25 years old. This study can help me to determine if students who are having a job outside the school will be completely disturbed in their studying. My survey was to determine what the life of a student is? Also, the information of my survey can help me to see how it is to be a student in another country because some answering are coming from the outside of Quebec.

This project consisted of 11 students attending groups from different cities and countries. They are located in Longueuil, Saint-Hubert or somewhere in Quebec, Europe and Portugal. The respondents were studying in CEGEP or the equivalent diploma. The questionnaire contained 10 questions multiple-choice questions and most of these questions have an open-ended question. The open-ended questions are making this questionnaire more precise because the student can answer what he wants.

The answering are 17 to 19 years old. They are all going to school and they study 3 to 5 hours a week. They are following 5 courses a week and they are staying at their parent’s home. Because of that, it’s possible for some of them to work only 10 to 15 hours a week. But there is a group of them who are working more than 20 hours a week. This result shows that student couldn’t work more than 20 hours a week if they want good results at school.
Knowing what is the student salary, for example 50$ to 70$ a week, the majority of students intend to continue to go to school for a better future

They are 11 students who are responding in this report. Some of my answering are coming from Longueuil, Saint-Hubert and somewhere else in Quebec. The others are coming from outside of Quebec. In fact, they are coming from Europe and Portugal. 72.7% of these people are going at school. These students are not in the same level of schooling. Some answering have completed CEGEP with DEC and others have completed a similar DEC diploma. The majority of the students in this report are going to school full time. In this report, I can see that 36.4% of these students are studying and making homework 3 to 5 hours each week. Secondly, 27.3% are spending 1 to 3 hours by week. None of these answering are studying more of 7 hours by week. Most of these students have more of 5 courses by week in school. In fact, 36.4% represent this category. The majority of the students are working 10 to15 hours a week outside of school. But 18.2% of students are working more than 20 hours by week.

In conclude, when you are a currently student you are spending lots of time doing homework and studying each week. When you live with your parents it gives you a chance to work less than 20 hours a week which is the best for a student. This experience will give to the student the taste to continue studying to prepare a good future. However, this report confirms that studying is taking a big part in a life.

Survey about Work, Study and Money Habits

Monday, February 27, 2006

I live in Boucherville but my favourite city is Montreal because I love learn the story about this city and when you go in Montreal you can meet a lot of people. The setting splits between the influences of the French and English language, but neither presence is overly intimidating. Two-thirds of the population is French, but the English language is very much present in the downtown area. The city is located on an island near the Ottawa and St. Lawrence River. I love walk on the street and see a population very diversity. In my future I want to live in Montreal.
